How it works
The trainer names a workout, then defines the activities in the workout.
Each of the activities in the workout has the following components:
- Name,
- Number of repetitions,
- Number of sets,
- The length of time the trainee has to perform the activity,
- A URL for an image,
- A URL for a sound,
- The point in the workout where the activity should be performed.
The trainer can also specify whether the activities should be performed
in a set order or randomly.
After defining the workout, the trainer then assigns the workout to a
training group. The training group may be of any size, and is unique to
the trainer. Once a workout is assigned, a notice is given to the memebers
of that group.
When the trainee is ready to perform the workout, s/he connects to VTP and
begins. VPT follows the workout defintion, displaying each activity in the
prescribed order, along with the image and sound (if those have been defined).
For timed activities, VTP will automatically move to the next activity when
the time limit has been reached. For non-timed activities, VPT will present
a button for the trainee to click when s/he has completed the activity. As
each activity is completed, VPT records the activity and the time taken to
complete. The trainer can then view the logs.
